Have you chosen the right citation style?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Zotero cites in your word processor of choise according to your chosen citation style. You will find more than enough citation styles in Zotero - there are currently more than 10,000 <\/span>public styles<\/u><\/a> available (with more than 1,000 made by me) and of course also the 90+ available in my <\/span>shop<\/u><\/a> here.<\/span><\/p>\n

When inserting the first citation in Word and co., Zotero will ask you for the desired citation style. But even after you have defined the citation style, you can change it again and again during the course of your work. Has a journal not accepted your paper? Change the citation style and resubmit! <\/span><\/p>\n

This is how it's done in Word:<\/u><\/p>\n

  1. Open your document<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on the Zotero tab.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Select <\/span>Document Preferences<\/strong>\/<\/span>on the top right <\/strong>for your enquiry.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Select the desired citation style from the list.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Click <\/span>OK<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The accuracy of the most frequently used citation styles such as <\/span>APA<\/strong>, <\/span>Chicago<\/strong>, <\/span>IEEE<\/strong>, <\/span>Cite them Right Harvard<\/strong>, <\/span>Vancouver<\/strong>\/<\/span>NLM <\/strong>you can usually rely on. With a lot of effort and love, a small team group of <\/span>volunteers<\/u><\/a> for the correctness, new creation and updates of the citation styles.<\/span><\/p>\n

    But you are looking for a style that is not yet in the directory? First of all, I would recommend looking in the <\/span>Zotero forums<\/u><\/a> to search for it. If a thread exists, you will usually find a style that already fits well or you can vote for someone to create the style. This is usually done for journals, but less so for university styles. However, such styles can be added to my <\/span>shop<\/u><\/a> or can be order to be <\/span>made on comission<\/u><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Is the metadata in Zotero correct?<\/span><\/h2>\n

    However, Zotero only quotes as well as the quality of your <\/span>metadata<\/strong>. Ein fehlerhafter Titel, ein verdrehter Autorname oder fehlende Daten wie der Verlagsort oder Jahr, wird genau so im Textverweis und im Literaturverzeichnis wieder ausgegeben. <\/span><\/p>\n
